They’re not anything extravagant and like “omg I’ve just seen the gates of heaven” everyone is judgemental, giving unsolicited parenting advice, underwhelmed and shocked, hesitant and just in shock because no one can picture someone having a baby just like that randomly! And no one is ever ready to be a parent! Being a mom/dad is learned one cry at a time. You can prepare all you want but every baby is different and you don’t know who your baby is until they’re here and you have to adjust to your child. It’s a learning process. They’re taking it one day at a time, the family will be more excite as time goes on and when baby is born. This being an “underwhelming “ is actually very authentic and real because this is literally how most people actually react to pregnancy announcements
