everything kristen says is 10/10 how I felt at my old job, and exactly how it went down, just ... at a children's science museum, one of the components of the Guest Services machine, which was ... the crux of the company. they did layoffs in 2019 and went almost entirely under as soon as covid hit. I left in August 2017 and had a psychotic break and was hospitalised in October of 2017.

At 17:07 Kristin mentions that the cookies don't hold well. That's because, in non-vegan cookies, the yolk of the egg is used sort of like an adhesive to keep it together. I don't know the ingredients of the cookies you tried were, but some nut/soy milk could be used to at the very least to moisten the cookie to keep them from being so dry that they fall apart (or at least that's what I do). My nephew has celiac disease and my parents are vegan and they all seem to really enjoy it. So if you ever wanted to make your own vegan cookies, I hope this might help ig :)

The message it sends out is unless people are privileged, they can't succeed which is not helpful. There is often some luck involved in success, but that usually is just to get in the door.
